[edit] Biographical Information
Charlie Cady pitched in the National League at age 17 and in the Union Association at age 18. One of many signs that the Union Association was an easier league, he was much more effective there than he had been in the National League.
Cady, a two-way player, was in five games as a pitcher and six as a position player. However, he was not much of a hitter.
Only one other major leaguer (through 2008) has had the last name "Cady" - Hick Cady.
