[edit] Biographical Information
Charlie "Hummer" DeArmond played 11 games at third base for the 1903 Cincinnati Reds and hit .282.
The regular third baseman that year was Harry Steinfeldt, who had one of his best years. DeArmond was a year older than Steinfeldt.
DeArmond's middle name was Hommer, which may explain where the nickname "Hummer" came from.
There was also a Charles E. DeArmond who played several years in the minors between 1902-06.
