". . . Carr . . . is playing a very fast game, and one that will come very close comparing with any star first baseman." - Sporting Life of April 1, 1905, discussing Charlie Carr with the Cleveland Indians

Charlie Carr was the first major leaguer from Lehigh University. His major league career was done in 1906 but he was able to come back to the Federal League in 1914 and hit .293 with 11 triples at the age of 37.

From 1906-10 he was at Indianapolis, much of the time as player-manager.

Prior to the Federal League his best major league season was with the 1903 Detroit Tigers, at least with the bat, as he hit .281 with 11 triples.

Sporting Life of November 7, 1903, reported on his wedding in Toronto. The mention stated that the bride and groom would live in Detroit while Charlie "will continue his studies" during the winter.
