[edit] Biographical Information
With the St. Paul Saints in 1915, pitcher Charley Hall set an American Association record with 16 consecutive wins, a mark that stood until the league finally folded in 1997. With the Saints in 1920, he posted a 27-8 record with a 2.06 ERA, leading the AA in wins and earned run average. Overall, in his long minor league career, he was 284-244 with a 3.32 ERA in 701 appearances. He also pitched four nine-inning no-hitters in the minors, as well as another where he ultimately lost the game in the 12th.
Following his baseball career, Hall was a police officer.
