Charles Bierbauer was a minor leaguer in the 1890s; his brother Lou Bierbauer gave the Pittsburgh Pirates their name, in a fashion. Charles played for Jamestown in 1891, the Mansfield Electricians in 1893 and the Pawtucket Phenoms in 1895.
