Champaign-Urbana Velvets

Urbana, IL was home to just one professional baseball team, the Champaign-Urbana Velvets of the 1911 Illinois-Missouri League. Occupying every spot in the pennant race at one point, the team finished third of the six clubs at 66-60. The next season they simply became the Champaign Velvets.
