Casey Fossum went 1-0 with a 4.76 ERA in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup. In the Bronze Medal game loss to Australia, he allowed one home run in 2/3 of an inning. He was 1-0 with a 3.97 ERA for Team USA in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. He signed with the Hanshin Tigers for 2010. He began the season with the Hanshin farm club but was called up in April and had a fine Nippon Pro Baseball debut with six shutout innings on April 15 versus the Yomiuri Giants; his bullpen blew the game and he got a no-decision.
