Carlos Mori was the only Venezuelan pitcher to appear in more than one game in the 2007 Pan American Games, with two stints on the hill. He struck out 3 in 2 1/3 shutout innings and allowed one hit, but walked five. He was again lucky in the 2007 Baseball World Cup, with 4 hits and 3 walks but no runs in 3 innings for Venezuela. Mori helped Venezuela win Gold at the 2010 South American Games.
