Carlos Monasterios was in his first professional season in the New York Yankees system. He pitched 7 games, 3 starts, for the GCL Yankees before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in the Bobby Abreu trade. Following the deal he was assigned to the GCL Phillies, where he made 3 more starts and one relief apperance. Carlos started the 2007 season with the Lakewood Blue Claws where he went 11-11 with a 4.62 ERA.
