Carlos Alfonso was a coach with the San Francisco Giants in 1992 and again was a member of the team's staff from 1997 to 1999. Alfonso played in the minor leagues from 1968-1976 (as a pitcher except for 1968), spending five straight full seasons in AAA. He managed 7 years in the minors.
He primarily wore number 17.
