[edit] Biographical Information

Carl McNabb struck out in his one plate appearance for the 1945 Detroit Tigers and never made it back to the majors. However, he had a long minor league career from 1936-50 and he managed the Tyler Trojans in 1947 and 1948.

1948-49 "SN" Guides lists James Miller as 1947-48 manager with the Lone Star Tyler franchise. They did show McNabb as the original manager with the 1949 East Texas Tyler franchise, being replaced on June 11th.

After his baseball career, McNabb moved to Jasper, Tennessee, where he ran a grocery store and later was a mail carrier for 22 years. He died in 2007 at age 90.
