Carl Lancaster has coached his school to a national title.
Lancaster was head coach at Eastern Wayne High School for 3 years. He was a graduate assistant at Appalachian State University then became head coach at Eastern Wayne High for another 6 years, leading his team to a 105-49 record and one state title.
Carl then became head coach at Mount Olive College, taking them to the 1992 NAIA College World Series. He was named conference Coach of the Year six times. His team went 58-6 to set a school record for wins in 2008, getting ranked #1 for the first time in school history. They then won the 2008 Division II College World Series. Lancaster was named American Baseball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year. He was 759-372 in his first 23 seasons as a college coach.
