Carl Cooper was a minor league baseball outfielder and manager who played from 1937 to 1940 and from 1946 to 1950. He spent the final five years of his career as a player-manager.

Cooper spent ten seasons in the minor leagues, hitting .297 with 107 home runs in 1,112 games. He had 1,185 hits, 188 doubles and 66 triples in 3,988 at-bats.

He hit as high as .369 in a season, a feat he accomplished in his final professional year with the LaGrange Troupers. The previous year, he hit .332 with 17 home runs for the Troupers.

Cooper first managed in 1947, taking over for Dibrell Williams of the Augusta Tigers partway through the season. He helped lead the team to the league finals, which the team lost. In 1948, he began as the manager of the Tigers, however was replaced by Mike Garbark partway through the season.

He took the helm of the LaGrange Troupers in 1949, leading them to a fourth-place finish and a berth in the playoffs - however, they lost in the first round. He then led them to two consecutive first place finishes and league championships in 1950 and 1951.
