Cangrejeros de Santurce

Founded in 1939 by Pedrin Zorrilla, the Cangrejeros de Santurce (Santurce Crabbers) have represented Santurce in the Puerto Rican League. They won pennants in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1959, 1962, 1965, 1967, 1971, 1973, 1991, 1993 and 2000; through 2009, their 12 pennants are second in league annals behind the 15 won by the Indios de Mayagüez. The Cangrejeros have also won five Caribbean Series - 1951, 1953, 1955, 1993 and 2000 Caribbean Series. Through 2009, they have won the most Caribbean Series of any Puerto Rican team and are second in Series titles among all nations behind only the Tigres del Licey.
Past managers have included Vic Harris, George Scales, Bus Clarkson, Herman Franks, Vernon Benson, Preston Gomez, Earl Weaver, Frank Robinson and Mako Oliveras. Past stars have included Willard Brown, Bob Thurman, Raymond Brown, Luis Olmo, Roberto Clemente, Orlando Cepeda, Roy Campanella, Ray Dandridge, Tom Lasorda, Luis R.
