Right-hander Cal Cooper spent three seasons in professional baseball (1947-1949). He had a minor league record of 20 wins and 25 losses and a 4.32 ERA in 66 games.
Cooper served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He pitched one inning in one game for the Washington Senators on September 14, 1948.
Cal was personnel director at Clinton Mills and a member of Laurens County School Board for 28 years.
He had been in declining health a number of weeks when he died on July 4, 1994 in Clinton, SC.
