Lewis Oscar "Bull" Smith was in the majors in 1904, 1906 and 1911. He played mostly left field in 1904, but did not appear in the field in 1906 or 1911.

Smith was born in Plum, WV, and attended West Virginia University from 1900-03. By 1904, he was up in the majors for 13 games, beginning on August 30, 1904.

In 1905 he played for Wheeling in West Virginia, and in 1906 he was back in the majors for one game with the 1906 Cubs, the great team which went 116-36.

He managed the Clarksburg Bees for one season and part of another and came back to the majors in 1911 for one more game with the 1911 Washington Senators.

After baseball he worked as a lumberman and a school teacher.

He died in 1928 in West Virginia.
