Won the world title in table tennis in 1936 before his five year major league career.
Was a broadcaster for the St. Louis Browns from 1950 to 1953, the St. Louis Cardinals from 1960 to 1961, the Los Angeles Angels/California Angels from 1962 to 1968 and the Kansas City Royals from 1969 to 1975.
Buddy was an announcer with Dizzy Dean on the televised "Game of the Week" during the 1950's.
