OF/1B Buck Elliott played in the minor leagues from 1937 to 1956, mostly in the low minors. The highest Elliott reached was 6 games for the New Orleans Pelicans in 1948. Elliott also managed in the minors from 1949 to 1956.

Elliott later scouted for the San Diego Padres (1969), Kansas City Royals (1970), New York Mets (1971-1976), Baltimore Orioles (1977-1978), New York Yankees (1980), and Oakland A's (1982-1985).
