Arthur Buckner Bailey
 Biographical Information
Buck Bailey was a college coach.
Bailey played baseball and football at Texas A&M. He served in the Army in World War I. From 1927-1942 and 1946-1961, he was head coach of Washington State University, going 331-203; the school did not field a team during World War II. He guided the team to the 1950 College World Series (3-2) and 1956 College World Series (0-2). He coached eight future major leaguers: Ed Bouchee, Cliff Chambers, Gene Conley, Wes Stock, Danny Frisella, Jack Spring, Ted Tappe and Art McLarney. He also was a football coach there. He scouted for the Cleveland Indians after retiring from Washington State. He and his wife died in a car crash after he ran a stop light.
