Brooklyn Tip-Tops
From BR Bullpen
The Brooklyn Tip-Tops were the New York entry in the short-lived Federal League.
In 1914, the Tip-Tops finished in fifth place with a .500 record despite picking up legendary hurler Mordecai Brown in midseason. The next year, they picked up second baseman Lee Magee from the St. Louis Cardinals of the National League and purchased the contract of Benny Kauff from the Indianapolis Hoosiers. Despite their improved lineup, they fell to seventh place in 1915.
