Brian Shoop is a college coach.

Shoop was an assistant coach at Mississippi State University from 1983-1989, where he worked with Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, Bobby Thigpen and Jeff Brantley.

Brian became head coach at Birmingham-Southern College in 1990 and went 692-307-1 in 17 seasons there, a school record for wins. He won 55 games in 2001, a school record for one season. He also led his team to the title in the 2001 NAIA College World Series, winning him honors as the NAIA Coach of the Year. In 2004, his club was 47-18 and he was named the American Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year.

In 2006, Shoop became head coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, going 82-93 in his first 3 seasons there.
