Brian Sabean has been General Manager of the San Francisco Giants since September 1996. He also served the Giants as a senior vice-president of player personnel in 1995 and assistant to the GM in scouting/player personnel in 1993-1995. Prior to joining the Giants, he worked in the New York Yankees organization as a scout in 1985-1986, Scouting Director in 1987-1990, and director of player development in 1991-1992.
Sabean was an assistant coach at Saint Leo University in 1979 and the University of Tampa in 1980-1982. He was the head coach at Tampa in 1983-1984.
