[edit] Biographical Information
Shortstop Brian Rupp was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 43rd round of the 1992 amateur draft. He led the 1992 Arizona League with a .386 BA, 80 hits, 40 RBI, 20 2B, 102 TB, 5 IBB, and .490 SLG. Rupp was named league MVP. In 1993, Rupp won his second batting title in a row with a .320 mark in the South Atlantic League. Rupp played seven seasons of pro ball, reaching as high as AAA.
Rupp was a coach for the Arkansas Travelers in 2000.
