Brian Looney was 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA for San Marino in the 2007 European Cup. He had a 6.23 ERA and a save for San Marino when they finished third in the 2008 European Cup. Looney had a save and pitched two scoreless innings in the 2008 European Cup Final Four, but nearly blew the game by allowing 2 hits in the 9th before escaping the jam.
