Brian Dallimore hit .273/.407/.682 as the 3B-LF for Team USA in the 1994 Baseball World Cup, starting ahead of Casey Blake. 10 years later, he made it to the major leagues.
He was in the majors in 2004-05, making his debut at age 30. During a ten-year minor-league career, he had a batting average of .294, playing 516 games at third base, 343 at second base, 121 at shortstop, 30 in the outfield and one at first base.
He attended Clark High School in Las Vegas, NV, where he was all-state. His father was coach at UNLV. He went to Stanford University and as of 2004 he was only one course short of a psychology degree.
Dallimore was the batting champ of the PCL in 2003 but didn't get a call-up to the majors.
