Brian Allard was involved in a 10-player blockbuster trade on December 12, 1980. The Texas Rangers sent Allard, along with IF Rick Auerbach, P Ken Clay, P Steve Finch, P Jerry Don Gleaton and OF Richie Zisk to the Seattle Mariners for C Larry Cox, P Rick Honeycutt, DH Willie Horton, SS Mario Mendoza and OF Leon Roberts.
