[edit] Biographical Information

Drafted out of high school in June 1978 as an 18-year-old, Brian Milner made his professional debut at the major league level on June 23, 1978, going 1-for-4. Three days later, he was then the starting catcher in the Toronto Blue Jays' 24-10 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on June 26, 1978 -- 24 runs is still the largest number of runs the Jays have ever scored in a single game (as of 2008).

After playing in just those two games for the 1978 Blue Jays (going 4-for-9), Milner was sent down to Medicine Hat in the Pioneer League. Injuries cut short his minor league career and he never returned to the majors.

  • Served as a coach for the Greensboro Hornets in 1992
  • Served as a coach for the Prince William Cannons in 1993
