Drafted in 1994 by the Rockies as a 2nd baseman, in 1995 as a pitcher. Recalled from Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs on 7/26/08 by the New York Mets.
Knight was 1-0 with a 6.75 ERA in the 2008 Olympics, pitching for Team USA, which won Bronze. He struggled in a loss against the South Korean national team and had a solid outing in a victory over Taiwan.
Knight went 6-2 with a 3.56 ERA for the Samsung Lions in the 2009 KBO season, beign their most effective starter. He replaced Runelvys Hernández on the roster in July.
