Brad Snyder has written two significant baseball books: Beyond the Shadow of the Senators: The Untold Story of the Homestead Grays and the Integration of Baseball and A Well-Paid Slave: Curt Flood's Fight for Free Agency in Professional Sports.
Mr. Snyder turned his undergraduate thesis from Duke University into the book on the Homestead Grays. He covered the Baltimore Orioles for the Baltimore Sun newspaper and graduated from Yale University Law School.
