Pitcher Bots Nekola went 27-0 during his college career at Holy Cross. He had cups of coffee in the majors with the 1929 New York Yankees and the 1933 Detroit Tigers. He was later a longtime Boston Red Sox scout who was credited with signing Carl Yastrzemski and Rico Petrocelli.
He pitched nine seasons in the minors, with parts of five seasons playing for Toronto.
