Pitcher Bots Nekola went 27-0 during his college career at Holy Cross. He pitched nine seasons in the minors, with parts of five seasons playing for Toronto. Nekola had cups of coffee in the majors with the 1929 New York Yankees and the 1933 Detroit Tigers.
Nekola was later a Boston Red Sox scout from 1949 to 1976, and was credited with signing Carl Yastrzemski and Rico Petrocelli.
