[edit] Biographical Information
Bobby Schang, like his brother Wally Schang, was a major league catcher. Bobby played three seasons in the majors, getting most of his at-bats with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the later days of Honus Wagner.
He played for St. Joseph for much of 1914.
He came back in 1927, many years after his earlier appearances, to have five at-bats with the 1927 St. Louis Cardinals. He and teammate Pete Alexander were both 40 years old.
He is not to be confused with his nephew Bobby Schang, Wally's son, who played in the minors.
