Bobby Moranda has coached college baseball for over 20 years.

Moranda hit .307 with 20 homers in two years at Eastern Kentucky University. He remained there as an assistant coach for three years (1987-1989) while pursuing his master's degree. From 1990-1995, Bobby was assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Virginia, bringing on board Seth Greisinger and Brian Buchanan. From 1996-2001, he was a coach for Wake Forest University. He worked with David Bush and Mike MacDougal among other future big leaguers in that role.

Moranda's next stop was Georgia Tech, where he was associate head coach from 2002-2007, making two trips to the College World Series. He recruited Matt Wieters. He became a head coach in 2008, joining Western Carolina University, the 10th head coach in school annals. He led the team to 37 wins in 2010.
