 Biographical Information
After college, Brett played briefly in the minor leagues as an outfielder. He hit .286/~.359/.371 in 23 games, scoring 15 runs and going 7-for-8 in steal attempts. He also played 19 games for the San Jose Bees, batting .243/~.333/.270. One teammate that year was brother George Brett, who went on to a much more notable career.
Returning to college, Bobby became a high school teacher and and varsity baseball coach at Inglewood High School in the 1974-1975 school year. He then entered the real estate investment business in 1975. In 1985, he joined with brothers George, Ken Brett and J.B. Brett in purchasing the Spokane Indians. The brothers bought the Spokane Chiefs minor league hockey team in 1990, at which time Bobby moved to Spokane, WA to oversee the sports investments. He later was involved in purchases of the High Desert Mavericks and Tri-City Dust Devils.
