[edit] Biographical Information

After his baseball career ended, Tewksbury joined the Boston Red Sox as an advance scout in 1999. From 1999-2004, Tewksbury served as a pitching consultant, working with pitchers in Double-A and Triple-A. He earned a Masters degree in sports psychology and counseling from Boston University in 2004. In 2005, the Red Sox named him as the team's Mental Skills Coach. He left that position in 2014 to become the director of player development for the Major League Baseball Players Association, returning again as the Mental Skills Coach with the Red Sox in 2015.
