Bob Reece managed the 1982 Calgary Expos. He spent 1976-1981 playing with the Denver Bears of the American Association when he wasn't in the majors. In 1974, playing for the West Palm Beach Expos of the Florida State League, he did something highly unusual: he caught every single inning of the 133 games played by his team that year. He hit .252 with 7 doubles and 5 triples in 464 at-bats that year
His only major league experience came in 1978 with the Montreal Expos. He made the team as a back-up to Gary Carter but played sparingly and was sent down to Denver when the Expos acquired veteran Ed Herrmann on June 9th. He came back in September to play a little more, but only had 11 at-bats in 8 games that year, getting 2 hits including a double. In 1979, the Expos signed another veteran, Duffy Dyer, to serve as Carter's back-up, and Reece spent the remainder of his career in the minor leagues.
