Infielder Bob Ralston was drafted in the 6th round of the 1984 amateur draft by the Minnesota Twins. He played in the Twins chain from 1984 to 1989 spending 1984-1985 and 1987 at AA and 1986 and 1988-1989 in AAA. Ralston finished up with a season at AA for the Oakland A's in 1990. Even though he played 7 seven seasons in AA and AAA without playing lower, he never made the majors.
Ralston was an assistant coach at University of California in 1990-1991 and Diablo Valley College in 1992-1994. He was the head coach at St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in 1995-1997 and Clayton Valley High School in 1999-2011. He was named head coach at California State University, East Bay for 2012.
