[edit] Biographical Information

Bob Mayer pitched five seasons in the Cincinnati Reds farm system. Currently, he is a scout for the Cleveland Indians and is also the Indians’ regional supervisor in charge of most of the East Coast. He has scouted and signed Lonnie Chisenhall, Dan Cevette, Scott Lewis, Kyle Landis, and Brad Snyder.

Mayer and his wife Deb have two sons and a daughter. His son Jimmy Mayer played for the University of Pittsburgh and was drafted by Cleveland in 2002 and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2006. He currently (2008) plays in the Rays farm system.
