Bob Klinger pitched 20 seasons in Organized ball from 1929 to 1950, eight in the Major Leagues and 12 in the minors, losing two years to the Military. He entered the U.S. Navy 19440409 for World War II and was discharged 19451211 (BN). He pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Red Sox. He was killed in an automobile accident at age 69 and is buried at Allenton Cemetery in Allenton, MO.
