Outfielder Bob Countryman played minor league baseball in 1914, from 1916 to 1920, and from 1925 to 1926. In 292 games, he hit .244.
He also managed the Fort Worth Panthers in 1917 and the Houston Buffaloes in 1918. He was head coach of Rice University in 1922-1923 and Texas A&M in 1928-1929.
