Bob Armstrong played 12 games for the 1871 Fort Wayne Kekiongas, a team whose season consisted of 19 games. Armstrong was in center field for 11 of his 12 games.

There appears to be nobody named Bob Armstrong who played on a top amateur team in the period 1866-70 but there is a "Sam Armstrong" who played center field for the Baltimore team in 1869-70.
