[edit] Biographical Information

Bob Lee was a long-time minor league pitcher who finally made it to the big leagues in 1964 with the Los Angeles Angels. A hard thrower who had trouble controlling his weight, Lee had two excellent seasons as the club's top reliever in 1964 and 1965, making the American League All-Star team the second year. His 1966 season was also good, but his strikeouts were down markedly, indicating he had lost something off is fastball. In 1967 and 1968, pitching for the Cincinnati Reds he struggled, unsuccessfully, to regain his pitching form.
