Bing Russell was a minor league player in the New York Yankees farm system and later a Hollywood actor most known for his work in the TV show "Bonanza". Russell returned to baseball in the 1970s as owner of the Portland Mavericks of the Northwest League. His son, actor Kurt Russell, played with for part of his minor league career. Russell's grandson, Matt Franco, went on to play in the majors.
