Billy Serad pitched four seasons in the majors. A hard-luck pitcher, he never had a winning record although three of his four teams finished over .500.
He spent 1884-85 with the Buffalo Bisons at a time when they featured the Big Four and Davy Force. In 1887-88 he was with the Cincinnati Red Stockings at a time when they featured Bid McPhee.
Billy also played for Utica, Syracuse, Toronto, Newark and Rockford.
Although he is listed as William I. Serad, a New York Times article from January 15, 1888 referred to him as W.T. Serad.
