[edit] Biographical Information

Bill Sweeney played and managed for many years at the AAA level, notably in the Pacific Coast League. In 15 years in the minor leagues, Sweeney hit .321 with 85 HR and 763 RBI in 1691 games. In 2004 he was elected to the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame.

He was also a coach for the Detroit Tigers in 1947 and 1948.
