Bill "Solly" Salisbury appeared in two games for the 1902 Philadelphia Phillies.
Bill was born in Algona, IA, in north-central Iowa. In 1901 he went 28-14 for Portland, a team which also featured Joe Tinker.
Years later he was briefly on the 1908 San Francisco team, which also featured the young Ping Bodie.
He died in Rowena, OR, a hundred miles east of Portland.
