[edit] Biographical Information

Centerfielder Bill Mueller had a cup of coffee with the Chicago White Sox in 1942 before serving in the Navy during World War II. After his playing career ended, he was owned jewelry stores in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. He died of Alzheimer's disease at age 80.
