Bill McGill is a bit of a mystery man. His granddaughter searched to find out why McGill was signed by the St. Louis Browns but refused to report. He had been with Austin and when he refused to report went to San Antonio. He finally came to the majors in September.
He pitched, at least briefly, for the champion 1903 St. Paul Saints.
