Bill McCauley is one of six players born in Washington, D.C. in 1869 to play in the majors. Of those, three of them played for the 1895 Washington Senators. Phil Wisner and John Gilroy made their debuts on August 30, 1895, while Bill McCauley made his debut on August 31.
