[edit] Biographical Information
Outfielder Sleepy Bill Johnson played in three major leagues but had most of his success in the waning days of the American Association.
As a regular outfielder for the 1891 Baltimore Orioles, he hit .271 with 14 triples. Teammates included George Van Haltren and an 18-year-old John McGraw.
He is not to be confused with two other major leaguers of the same name, Bill Johnson and Bill Johnson.
