 Biographical Information
Bill Hohn has been a MLB umpire for over 20 years. He started off in the 1977 Gulf Coast League, moving up to the Florida State League (1978) and Southern League (1979-1980). From 1981-1986, he worked the Pacific Coast League, spending the winter of 1982-1983 in the Puerto Rican League.
He was promoted to the International League in 1987 and to the majors in 1989. He worked the 1994 All-Star Game. He resigned in 1999 as part of the Major League Umpires Association but was reinstated to the big league staff with back-pay in 2002. On May 31, 2010, he ejected Roy Oswalt after the pitcher yelled at himself in disgust after throwing a ball. Hohn was reprimanded by Bob Watson of the Commissioner's office the next day.
